Poem : If Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) visited you

 

I wonder...

If the Prophet Muhammad visited you,
Just for a day or two;
If he came unexpectedly
I wonder what you'd do.

Oh! I know you'd give your nicest room
To such an honored guest;
And all the food you'd serve to him
Would be the very best;

And you would keep assuring him,
You're glad to have him there;
Your hospitality would be beyond belief
And service beyond compare.

But... when you saw him coming,
Would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome
To your honoured visitor?

Or... would you have to change your
Clothes before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put
The Quran where they had been?

Would you still watch movies
On your trusty TV set?
Or would you rush to switch it off
Before he gets upset?

Would you turn off the radio
And hope he hadn't heard?
And wish you hadn't uttered
That last loud nasty word?

Would you hide you worldly music
And instead take Islamic books out?
Could you let him walk right in,
Or would you rush about?

And, I wonder... if the Prophet spent
A day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things
That you always do?

Would you go right on saying the things
You always used to say?
Would life for you continue
As it does from day to day?

Would your family conversation
Keep its usual pace?
Or would you find it hard each meal
To say a table grace?

Would you keep up each and every
Prayer, forcing back a frown?
And would you always jump up early
For every prayer at dawn?

Would you sing the songs you always do
And read the books you read?
And let him know things on which
Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the Prophet with you
Everywhere you normally go?
Or would you , maybe, change your plan
Just for a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet
Your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they'd stay away
Until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay
Forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief
When he at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know
The things you would do
If the Prophet Muhammad, in person,
Came to spend some time with you.

                                             تیرے ہوتے جنم لیا ہوتا

                                       
مجھ سا نہ کویئی دوسرا ہوتا 

سانس لیتا تُو اور میں جی اُٹھتا
کاش مکہ کی میں فضا ہوتا

ہجرتوں میں پڑآو ہوتا میں
اور تو کچھ دیر کو رکا ہوتا

تیرے حُجرے کے آس پاس کہیں
میں کوئی کچا راستہ ہوتا

بیچ طائف وقت سنگ زنی
تیرے لب پہ سجی دعا ہوتا

کسی غزوہ میں زخمی ہو کر میں
تیرے قدموں میں جا گرا ہوتا

کاش اُحد میں شریک ہو سکتا میں
اور باقی نہ پھر بچا ہوتا

تیری کملی کا سوت کیوں نہ ہوا
تیرے شانوں پہ جھولتا ہوتا

چوب ہوتا میں تیرے چوکھٹ کی
یا تیرے ہاتھ کا عصا ہوتا

تیری پاکیزہ زندگی کا میں 

کوئی گمنام واقعہ ہوتا

لفظ ہوتا میں کسی آیت کا
جو تیرے ہونٹ سے ادا ہوتا

میں کوئی جنگجو عرب ہوتا
اور تیرے سامنے جھکا ہوتا

میں بھی ہوتا تیرا غلام کوئی
لاکھ کہتا نہ میں رہا ہوتا

چاند ہوتا میں تیرے زمانے کا
پھر تیرے حکم سے بٹا ہوتا

پانی ہوتا اداس چشموں کا
تیرے قدموں میں بہہ گیا ہوتا

پودہ ہوتامیں جلتے  صحرا  میں
اور تیرے ہاتھ سے لگا ہوتا

تیری صحبت مجھے مِلی ہوتی
میں بھی تب کتنا خوشنما ہوتا

مجھ پہ پڑتی جو تیری چشمِ کرم
آدمی کیا میں معجز ہ    ہوتا

ٹکرا ہو میں ایک بادل کا
اور تیرے ساتھ گھومتا ہوتا

آسمان ہوتا عہد نبوی کا
تجھ کو حیرت سے دیکھتا ہوتا

خاک ہوتامیں تیری گلیوں کی
اور تیرے پاؤں چومتا ہوتا

پیڑ ہوتا کھجور کا کوئی
جسکا پھل تونے کھا لیا ہوتا

بچہ ہوتا غریب بیوہ کا
سر تیری گودہ میں چھپا ہوتا

رستہ ہوتا تیرے گزرنے کا
اور تیرا رستہ دیکھتا ہوتا

بُت ہی ہوتا میں خانہ کعبہ میں
جو تیرے ہاتھ سے فنا ہوتا

مجھ کو خالق بناتا غار حَسَن
اور میرا نام بھی حِرَا ہوتا

A poem from my heart

 

جاتا پل جب آ نے والے پل کا ہاتھ پکڑ تا ہے 

میری خواب سراۓ  میں اک نیا دریچہ کھلتا ہے 

                                                

پھر میں اس میں جھانک کے جانے کتنے منظر دیکھتی ہوں 

وقت کا د ھ ار ا جیسے میرے ساتھ ہی چلتا رکتا ہے 

 

میری سوچیں مجھے اڑ ا  کر دور کہیں لے جاتی ہیں

اس انجان  محل میں جس کا ہر اک برج سنہرا هے 

 

جس میں چند اکیلی یادیں صدیوں سے لہراتی ہیں 

لیکن جس کے در پیے آج بھی تیز ہوا کا پہرا ہے 

 

  

سینکڑ و ں بار صدا  دینے پرایک جھروکا  کھلتا ہے 

اک ان جانی سرگوشی مجھے اپنے پاس بلاتی ہے 

 

سب کلیوں سے شبنم چن کر میرے ہاتھ پی رکھتی ہے 

اور گھٹا کےآ ینۓ میں سارا جہاں دکھلاتی ہے 

 

سوچ سمندر کی سیپوں  سے موتی چنتی رہتی ہوں 

میں اپنے دل کی سب با تیں  اس ہمدم سے کہتی ہوں  

 

وو بے شکل صدا  میرا ہر خواب مکمل کرتی ہے 

چند کو میرے ہاتھ کا کنگن دھنک کو آنچل کرتی ہے 

 

لیکن نام پتا پوچھوں تو وہ چھپ سی ہو جاتی ہے 

بند ہوتا ہے محل جھروکا پھر سے کہیں کھو جاتی ہے
